First things first: To be eligible to be part of the panel, you must:
- Own your own home computer, laptop or netbook
- Have Internet access at home (not at work, the library or a coffee shop)
- Be at least 13 years old 1
- Have Google Chrome on your home computer (or be willing to install it)
- Have a Google Account (or be willing to create one now)
- Live in the United States
If you’re not sure if you are eligible, don't worry: we'll start by asking you a series of questions to make sure you qualify.
Then we'll help you sign up for a Google account and download the Google Chrome browser (if needed), and have you review the terms and policies for panelists. (You'll also see policies from Knowledge Networks, the group who is running the panel for us.) You’ll download a browser extension that will share your daily web-browsing activity with us,2 and then you'll get a gift right away. Every three months, you’ll get an additional gift for staying with it. (Click here for more details on the gift and eligibility information.) It's that simple.
The whole process should take about 10-15 minutes.
Let's start by making sure you qualify for the Screenwise Trends panel. (And by the way, any information you give us now and as part of the panel will be kept strictly confidential, as outlined in the privacy policies of Google and Knowledge Networks.)
First question: what was your age at your last birthday?
